Figural guttus in foot form of glossy earthenware. Campanian, 4th century BC. H 7,2cm, L 13,5cm. Oil dispenser in the form of left foot with sandal, ring handle on the side, strainer on top, above the heel spout in the form of plastic lion's head. With copies of the French export license and a TL analysis! Minor chipping of the luster has been retouched, scratches on the underside, otherwise intact. From a French private collection, acquired in 1997 at the Galerie Saint-Honoré - Jean-Luc Rouze, Cannes. Cf. the very similar guttus The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York 06.1021.263.
