TWO gold, red and green lacquered wood STATUETTES, the first depicting Jozo Bosatsu (Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha) haloed and standing on a lotus, his left hand holding a Buddhist pearl (hoju no tama), wearing a long monastic robe (kesa), the second Seshi Bosatsu (Mahasthamaprapta) in front of a mandorla, slightly kneeling and leaning forward, wearing a monastic robe; accidents and restorations.
