Stanniferous earthenware stove tile decorated with Venus whipping Love in a rocaille surround. High fire blue monochrome.
Period: Second third of the 18th century. In an 18th century rocaille gilded wood frame. Bears the label of the former A. Bisset collection and that of the A. Gorge collection.
Condition: broken in two and previously restored.
