Carved amber CHRIST, crucified. Legs parallel, feet side by side. A long, simply-folded perizonium stops just above the knees, leaving them visible. It is tied on the left hip and held with a cord around Christ's waist. The lower edge of the perizonium is decorated with geometric checkerboard patterns. His horizontally extended arms end in two open hands, palms pierced by nails and thumbs joined to the other fingers. Probably Germany, 12th century style.
