Jukebox, "Colonial", WURLITZER, 1080, 1947
This model uses the same mechanism as the 1015, with a selection of 24 disks on one side, and its original coin-operated 25-cent American quarters. The designer, Paul FULLER, took on the allure of a Lyra, the first for the shape of the machine, the second inverted in front of the speaker grille, this jukebox certainly had the most elaborate body ever, with no straight lines.
The interior design and ornamentation are in the style of the 18th century, with figures straight out of an Aubusson tapestry.
7,604 units sold.
Complete unit, in excellent general condition, the buffer varnish has been redone on the body, mechanical and electrical operation presenting no problems.
Attached is the appraisal report by Mr. LIONEL BONTEMPS, a FNEPSA-approved expert in American jukeboxes.
148.5 x 83 x 63.5 cm; weight 155 kg
