Awarded to Jean-Baptiste-Emile Thévenard in 1900 for saving a Navy soldier from drowning in the Tong Kou river. - A Chevalier des Ordres des Palmes Académiques insignia - Dardanelles commemorative medal - Croix de Guerre 1914-1915 - A vermeil medal featuring a 1913 10-centime coin. Coin hallmark. Attached are the documents issuing the decorations to the owner, and an honorary diploma from the Ministry of the Navy awarded to Lieutenant Thévenard for saving a drowning serviceman by the Director of the port of Tong-Kou (China), as well as the document issuing the decoration to the owner.
