ROUEN Two covered earthenware saupoudreuses, forming a pair, of baluster form resting on a pedestal, the openwork cover in the form of a dome held to the body by a screw thread, decorated in blue monochrome with garlands of flowers and hanging foliage, lambrequins and tongues on a blue background decorated with flowers and foliage, the cover decorated with semis of leafy stems and dots. Marked in blue ch %. Manufacture de Poterat. Early 18th century, circa 1700-1710. H. 23.5 cm and 23 cm. One lid damaged and restored, the grip of the second lid restored. PROVENANCE Former Boucheron collection, Sotheby's, Paris, June 18, 2008, lot 526.
