An ornate title, 29 plates on chine collé, including a woodcut frontispiece and color map of the Île-de-France, seven steel-engraved out-of-text portraits after MEISSONIER,Tony FRANÇAIS, JOHANNOT, ISABEY, MEISSONIER STEINHEIL, and approximately 450 vignettes in the text. A copy with some of the characteristics of the PREMIER TIRAGE: the nine lines on page LII, as well as the medallion of Orrin Smith at the end of the large
