André GROULT (1884-1967)
Rare suite of four bridge chairs in light gray and white lacquered wood, decorated with playing card motifs. Backs with oval bands underlined by a painted cord and raised tassels on either side of the uprights. Openwork backs with fine crossed bars. Wide seats highlighted by a rush and painted pearls. Tapered front legs and saber-shaped back legs. Seat covered in white speckled fabric with gray background, piped.
Stamped on three of the four chairs.
