Wood frame with Plexiglas glass included: 155 x 125 cm Marc Wasterlain, born in Erquelinnes in 1946, is a Belgian comic book artist. He began his career as a pupil of Dino Attanasio, working on inking and backgrounds for the Modeste et Pompon series. In 1966, he joined the Peyo studio and worked on sets for the Smurfs and Benoît Brisefer series. He made his solo debut with the Bob Moon et Titania series in 1971 for the weekly magazine Tintin. Two years later, he created the poetic series Mr Bonhomme. In 1975, a hand accident altered his graphic style, making it more angular. That year, after a few trials, he really joined Spirou magazine with Docteur Poche, and played a part in the renewal of the weekly, influencing many young authors with his poetry and modern graphic style, including Bernard Hislaire, André Geerts, Frank Pé, Frank Le Gall and André Benn. In 1982, he created Jeannette Pointu for the same weekly, which was also well received by the critics, but which Dupuis was slow to market in album form. In 1995, he left Dupuis for Casterman.
