Several versions of this charming composition are known, with variations in the background: in the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, in the Museo civico in Treviso, in the Musée de Tessé in Le Mans (copy or workshop).
Ours has the particularity of having a representation of Perseus rescuing the chained Andromeda in the background, instead of a mirror.
