A pair of chased ormolu, blue-turquoise porcelain and enameled porcelain potpourris, composed of bitongs with openwork bamboo, prunus and pine trees representing the Three Friends of Winter, and flowers in full bloom. Mounted in chased and gilded bronze and gilded sheet metal in the form of a Rocaille mound with openwork decoration of scrolls, branches and foliage. CHINA KANGXI period (1661-1722) for the bitong. Louis XV period European mount. (Minor accidents to the flowers, some missing and replaced).
