GREUZE Jean-Baptiste (Suite de) 1725 - 1805 Portrait of Jeune fille au bonnet blanc, also known as La petite soeur. Oil on canvas. Old sling stretcher (small gaps lower left; old varnish dirty). H. 45.7 - W 38 cm Gilded wood frame in the Louis XVI style. Related to the portrait of Jean - Baptiste Greuze in the King of England's collections (London, Buckingham Palace), of which there are a number of repeats or copies, notably in the Musée de Narbonne and in Paris at the Musée Cognac - Jay (Cf. Thérèse Burollet, Catalogue du Musée Cognac - Jay, Paris, n° 47, pp. 144 & 145 - Paris 2004).
