In-8, (4)-xlviii-852 pp, red morocco, cloisonné ribbed spine, wide gilded decoration on the boards with gilded coat of arms in the center and two gilded "M" numerals in medallions, repetition of this decoration in the spine entrenerfs with fleurs-de-lis, ornate coupes, inner gilded roulette, gilded paper lining and endpapers stamped in colors, gilded edges; coat-of-arms on first board slightly misaligned with gilding, fleur-de-lis on spine hammered during the Revolution, edges and headpieces slightly rubbed (contemporary binding). 1.200/1.500 Copper-engraved illustration: 3 plates out of text and a vignette in the text.
