Four-legged "fangding" shaped incense burner made of iron inlaid with gilded copper of two makara or two dragons surrounding medallions of phoenix and lotus flowers on each side. The edges decorated with leiwen and lotus petals friezes, the feet decorated with lotus flowers. On the reverse side, the apocryphal mark Xuande with six characters in a square (small inlay damages).

This incense burner was reproduced in an album painted in 1884 by Li Chengyuan, which depicts objects from the imperial collection, sold at auction on 29/04/2017 by the Hôtel des ventes de Laval.
It was also reproduced on a 19th century collodion glass negative plate from the Semallé collection.
