Stephanie Hollenstein made long trips through Switzerland and Italy in the early 1930s. At that time she had just recovered from an injury that prevented her from painting. The travels enriched the artist with new inspiration and a new drive for her art. Hollenstein's remarkable technical skill is evident in the way she balances the weight of the objects with the paint to create a harmonious composition.
