A WOOD NETSUKE OF A YAKKO (PORTER/FOOTMAN) PERFORMING 'THE SPARROW DANCE'

The yakko standing with both feet together, wearing a short open jacket and loin cloth, his large belly and drooping chest exposed, posing with one hand raised to his head slightly tilted to one side, grinning broadly, about to perform the 'sparrow' dance, his other hand resting on his hip; unsigned. 10.3cm (4in) high.
