WOODEN PUTTO ADAPTED AS A NETSUKE Late 18th century A WOOD FIGURE OF A PUTTO ADAPTED INTO A NETSUKE Late 18th century The putto standing with his left arm raised and bent, his eyes closed with a serene expression, the details softly rendered; unsigned. 13.2cm (5 3/16in) high. Exhibited and Published: CS, p.56, cat.no.119 (catalogued as the Christ Child). Published: INSJ, vol.20, no.1, p.24.
