The curved top, decorated in hiramaki-e and takamaki-e gold with two ducks and thatched cottages by a stream in a lobed cartouche, the front decorated with a terrace planted with peonies, magnolia and flowers emerging from rocks, the sides decorated with flowering branches, the borders delimited by friezes of geometric motifs, the hinges in chased and gilded copper; small restorations, missing hinges and clasp, wear, cracks and small missing lacquer
