Figure, "khosi", arts and crafts Suku, DR Congo ohne Sockel / without base Wood, textile, feathers. H 27 cm. Provenance: Sandro Bocola (1931-2022), Zurich. Personal protective figure, which could develop its power through rituals and the application of magical substances. This materialized interface between this worldly and supernatural forces was used to promote the good and avert the negative.
