Acquired before 1970, but without signs of use and consequently not or barely danced. Acquired before 1970, but without signs of use and consequently not or barely danced. --------------------------------------------------------------- This zoomorphic mask type is called "bo nun amuin", which literally means "gods of the wilderness". The mask was kept in a sacred place outside of the village and protected the community from ominous forces.
