Louis XVI ceiling lamp. France, ca. 1800. Metal structure and crystal teardrops. With six points of light. Measurements: 150 (height) x 70 cm (diameter). Louis XVI ceiling lamp, dated ca. 1800, with a metal structure practically hidden by the pendants and crystal teardrops. This design in colourless glass, showing different types of carving, multiplies the brilliance of the light with its facets, giving the lamp a light and sumptuous appearance. A hidden triple ring arranges the structure, from the upper part from which the strings of glass cascade, turning from the second ring (ornamented with more faceted carvings) towards the lower crown, from which they fall like stalactites forming a rosette with their union. Six curved arms with six points of light emerge from the central ring.
