Four planters, ca. 1890. Cement and trencadís. Provenance: important palace in Barcelona. Measurements: 55 x 42 x 42 cm. Four jardinières, in which the ceramic technique of trencadís has been used, an artistic mosaic procedure that was emblematic in the architecture and decoration of Catalan modernism under the influence of Gaudí. The yellow is combined with black, which traces synthetic plant compositions in the form of borders at shoulder height and Greek fretwork at the bottom. The cylindrical body is raised on ball feet, also covered with trencadís.
