Large Louis XVI style ceiling lamp. France, mid 19th century. With 21 points of light. Bronze structure and crystal teardrops. It presents light marks of use, some slight damage and some lack. Measurements: 155 (height) x 100 cm (diameter). Ceiling lamp in Louis XVI style, from the eighteenth century period, with a bronze structure semi-hidden by the pendants and crystal teardrops. This design in colourless glass, showing different types of carving, multiplies with its facets the sparkles of light, giving the lamp a light and sumptuous appearance. A spidery ring multiplies its sinuous bronze arms to support the 21 points of light. The crystal strings cascade from the upper part, turning from the second ring (ornamented with more faceted carvings) towards the lower crown, from which the teardrops fall like stalactites, forming a rosette with their union. A hidden triple ring orders the structure, from the upper part from which the crystal strings cascade, turning from the second ring (ornamented with more faceted carvings) towards the lower crown, from which they fall like stalactites forming a rosette with their union. Six curved arms with six points of light emerge from the central ring.
