Reminiscent of fifteenth-century altarpieces, this beautiful sculpture depicting the enthroned Virgin holding the infant Jesus in blessing on her lap is the model for a sculpture in Carrara marble between bronze angels placed in the lunette above the central doorway of the façade of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Segezia, a sacred complex built between 1938 and 1942
