IACOVLEFF, Alexander. Drawings and paintings of Africa. Executed during the Citroën expedition to Africa. Second mission Haardt Audouin-Dubreuil. Edited under the direction of Lucien Vogel at Jules Meynal, 1927. In-folio. Complete set of 50 plates (one of which is double) of Iacovleff's color drawings, preceded by a booklet bound in half suede and black silk boards, the upper board enhanced with a painted African motif, gathering the notes of the painter-traveler, accompanied by numerous sketches in black. The whole is bound in a brown buffalo binding with internal flaps and laces (binding distorted and worn, good condition inside of the plates and text). Limited edition of 1020 numbered copies on Madagascar-Lafuma, here copy n° 8 printed for Max Descamps.
