Dutch landscape painter with great Italian influence. During his stay in Italy (1638 - 1641), he participated, along with Poussin, Claudio de Lorena, Gaspar Dughet and Herman van Swanevelt, in the commission made by Felipe IV for the decoration of the Buen Retiro Palace in Madrid. In his landscapes, with a classicist taste, popular figures and characters are found. Several large-format works that participated in the Dutch Painting exhibition at the Museo Nacional del Prado, 2009, are preserved in the Museo del Prado. 25 "x30"
