An elegant and rare pair of over-and-under barreled percussion pocket pistols dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Belgium, Smoothbore, micro-rifled, turn-off, 10 mm cal. barrels, made of very fine dark damask; boxlock-type frames finely engraved with floral motifs, 'AF' mark under Francotte crown and mark of the Liège test bench. Single, foldaway trigger with sequential shots. Ebony butts, butt-plates with drum, the lid embossed with a face of a warrior with helmet. length 20.2 cm.
