A fine pair of percussion pocket pistols dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: France, Smoothbore, round, 11 mm cal. barrels, made of fine damask; boxlock-type lock plate with long ends finely engraved with floral motifs on a black background, upper cocks off-centre to the right side, marked 'T'. Foldaway trigger. Wooden butts (small restorations) with iron drum and lid shaped as a shell. Oval, silver badge at the back. Working mechanism. length 17.7 cm.
