A cased over-and under-barreled percussion pistol by W. Richards
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: London, Round, smoothbore, turn-off, revolving, 9 mm cal barrels; mark of the test bench at the bases. Iron frame signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS LONDON' and with very fine floral engraving. Upper hammer with secure-lock, foldaway trigger. Micro-checkered wooden butt, an oval, silver shield at the back. In a wooden case with green cloth covering with label 'WILLIAM BISHOP AGENT TO WESTLEY RICHARDS GUN MANUFACTURER By Special Appointment TO HIS R. H. RINCE ALBERT 170 New Bond. St. London'. Complete with browned bullet mold, small powder flask, barrel wrench, nipple and key. length 15.5 cm.
