A percussion pocket pistol with spring bayonet
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: France, Smoothbore, octagonal, 12 mm cal. barrel, with remains of browning, marked 'R' under crown and numbered '28'; under the barrel a spring bayonet. Boxlock-type frame engraved with floral motifs. Drop-shaped butt made of fine briarwood, butt-plate with drum and lid shaped as as shell. length open 21.4 cm.
