rare plaque of Grand Officer of the Legion of Honor, July Monarchy: the center is decorated in gold with the right profile of Henry IV with exergue honor and Homeland; the silver branches decorated with imitation of cannetilles and sequins are flanked by 8 flags and a knot of ribbons in gold enamelled tricolor. Ø 7.3 cm on a faded red ribbon. This plate belonged to Marshal Dode de la Brunerie (1775-1851) French General of the first Empire and Marshal of France in 1847. Prov family by descent
