Account of Seaman Endicott (1809-1881) who traveled aboard the Glide, compiled by the vice director of the Peabody Museum in Salem. A long chapter is devoted to a cannibalism party.
The ship was wrecked on March 21, 1831 and the crew ended up on Vanua Levu Island.
