Made in the circle of Nicolo AMATI
Made in Cremona in the circle of Nicolo AMATI, in the second half of the 17th century (1660 - 1690), it bears a label "Nicolaus Amatus. Cremonensis...1685". Two-piece back. One-piece spruce top with tight irregular pores on the left, wider on the right. Original 40% varnish, orange-brown on gold ground.
Later central bottom purfling. Stomach-lined back. 355 mm.
