Commander's star of the Second Empire period, attributed to Colonel VERLY, commander of the squadron of the Hundred Guards.
Gold and enamel (tiny hair). Hallmark eagle head and goldsmith Ouizille Lemoine. Hanger for snap hook sewn to the tie. Pleated tie with loop. With old identification label (of the same type as those of the Laissus collection).

- From the Laissus collection, we find a commander's star that belonged to Colonel VERLY, with a very similar cross attachment system. The jewel is in vermeil.
