This Russian porcelain figurine by Gardner factory depicts a peasant sitting on a tree stump dressed in folk clothes and making traditional shoes from bark (bast shoes). Raised on a naturalistically modeled rectangular base. The figurine is skillfully executed and carefully hand-painted
