Egozcue studied at the San Jorge School of Fine Arts, broadening his knowledge in Paris, where he leaned towards cubism, taking part in the Salon des Indépendants in 1914. He held various solo and group exhibitions and took part in artistic competitions and contests such as the Exhibition of Self-Portraits of Spanish Artists held in Barcelona in 1907. Linked to the avant-garde from 1910, the year he arrived in Paris, he went through expressionist, Picassoist and even Nabi periods. A friend of Picasso, Apollinaire and Gris, his career was soon cut short when he died at the age of only 29.
