Ottoman Khandjar "Enveriye" (dagger of honor), slightly curved blade of 18,5 cm, engraved with the Shahada (essential profession of faith of Islam) on one side of the tugra (seal of Sultan Mehmed V 1844-1918) on the other side, with the date of the Arabic calendar 1334 (1916) and the number of the weapon, handle and scabbard in embossed brass, the scabbard carries the same number as the blade, LT 36 cm, Ottoman Empire period World War I. These daggers were given by the Turkish Minister of War Enver Pasha (1881-1922) as an honorary gift to Turkish officers and German military advisors who had distinguished themselves during the First World War. The production was about 4000 pieces.
