Mirror with cherubs, carved coral and coral cabochons, gilt bronze and chased. Rectangular in shape, the mirror is framed by a gilt bronze frame inlaid with coral cabochons in drops, gadroons, oves and pearls, flanked at its corners by sheathed cherubs carved in coral, and flanked by coral medallions housing figures of angel musicians and cameo figures in the image of the antique. Our mirror is topped by a richly decorated baroque pediment, it consists of a shell and horns of plenty of carved coral from which emanates the figure of a putto in gilded bronze whose stylized wings carved in coral are topped by a cherub mask in medallion.
