Wolfgang Kudrnofsky received his PhD in psychology and anthropology in 1950 and passed his master's examination in photography in the same year. After founding the "Hundsgruppe", he produced photographic works for the portfolio "Cave Canem" in 1951, and together with Arnulf Rainer he worked on the photo portfolio "Perspektiven der Vernichtung" (Perspectives of Annihilation). The Ingeborg Bachmann collage was published in Hans Weigel's literary anthology series "Stimmen der Gegenwart" in 1953.
