[NOËLAS (Docteur Frédéric) - Collection of etchings. Unique artist's proofs - Saint-Haon le Chatel, s.d. [circ. 1870-1880]. large in-8 [22 x 31 cm], in sheets, laced portfolio covered with fabric with paisley pattern. Exceptional collection of 56 etchings by Frédéric Noëlas (1830-1888), most of them captioned, on Forez and mainly Saint-Haon-le-Châtel. The engravings are laminated on the right page of sheets of pinkish beige canson. On the author [1830 - May 27, 1888, doctor in St Haon le Châtel, and member of La Diana, curator of the Museum of Roanne], who obviously participated in the writing of "Forez Illustré", consult : - Revue du Lyonnais 1878, pages 53-65, pages 120-129 and pages 198-206 - "Le Forez illustré" of August 1 and 8, 1875, for the notice on the underground refuge of Terre-Noire [commune of La Prugne Allier].
