[ASSIER DE VALENCHES (Pierre-Marie) - Research concerning mainly the order of the nobility on the Bailiff Assembly of the province of Forez convened in Montbrizon, in March 1789 for the election of deputies to the Estates-General of the Kingdom. Historical summary Printed by Louis Perrin, 1860. In-4 [24,5 x 32,5 cm], [4]+232+[2] pages, buff cardboard, round spine with long gothic title. A rare work as only 100, or 120 according to some, copies were printed; not placed in the trade and offered by the author with an ex-dono from the latter. - A very luxurious publication, in collaboration with Donyer du Lac, with engraved coats of arms, not sold and intended for the author's friends. Sent by the author to the bookseller Brun "offered in exchange of books". - the publisher's cardboard is well preserved, which is rare (small wear on the spine), the interior on a thick stained vellum is without any defect. - four marginal notes [ pp. 34 - 73 - 95 - 100] have been added in the past by an expert hand, probably Brun's, to complete the entries. - this copy then passed to Henri Deydier [his dry stamp "Henri Deydier // Aubenas" on the first two pages, with his arms overlaid with a count's crown on the first].
