Sofa two seats with flat back and rounded cheeks in beech wood molded and carved with plant motifs. The backrest receives armrests with molded shafts and the supports are in consoles. The curved belt rests on four arched feet, finished with stoppers. Covered with blue velvet Stamped : I. GOURDIN (inside the rear crossbar of the belt) Jean - Baptiste GOURDIN. Cited master on March 26, 1748 Paris. Louis XV period H. 98,5 W.140 D. 61 cm Restorations of uses. Formerly lacquered seat This skilled craftsman, eldest son of Jean GOURDIN, supplied the Prince of Soubise. He left his stamp on seats of a very noble character and excellent workmanship.
