Two dishes with a boat. Two small tobsil dishes in earthenware with polychrome decoration, one with a dominant blue and the other with a dominant green and yellow, each decorated with a boat. One fractured and restored. Morocco, Fez, 19th century Diameter : 21 and 26,5 cm The boat motif is highly sought after. Two very similar dishes, one dated from the end of the 18th century and kept in the Musée national de Limoges Adrien Dubouché (inv. AD 8321), and the other from the beginning of the 19th century in the Musée du Quai Branly, Paris (inv. 74.1977.3.1 MN.AM) are published in the catalog of the exhibition "Couleurs Maroc. Delacroix et les arts décoratifs marocains des XVIIIe et XIXe siècles," Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Bordeaux, 2002, cat. 17 and 26, pp. 48-49 and 80-81. SOLD AS IS
