Important Album of Photographs on TURKEY, EGYPT and the HOLY LAND. Circa 1890. Album measuring 34.5 by 48 cm. Worn black half-binding, period black boards. Many captioned photos. Glued to double pages, each page having photos on one side only. Belgrade: 7 photos Constantinople: One panoramic photo measuring 20 by 120 cm (average condition), and 30 photos measuring 25 by 15 cm. One photo shows pilgrims embarking for Mecca. Bosphorus: 16 photos measuring 25 by 18 cm, and 19 in smaller format. Egypt: 27 photos, 25 by 18 cm, 22 in a smaller format. Photos of the pyramids, but also of street scenes in CAIRO. Jaffa, Jerusalem, plus characters: 67 photos, 25 by 18 cm. Including a fine photo of Jews in front of the Wailing Wall. In all, some 136 large-format photos, and 46 smaller ones. Very good condition.
