'Madonna and Child'. Bas-relief in patinated terracotta. Italian school. Renaissance. 16th century.
There are slight traces of polychrome residue.
The Madonna and Child are depicted in front of a fence on which rose branches climb. The Virgin Mary tenderly directs her gaze towards the Child, who holds the rose bush that seems to emerge from the chalice, located in the lower left margin. The scene is framed by a border in the form of a chain with repetitive decorative elements.
