Africa Strong lot composed of : - a Malagasy calabash with pyrographed decoration. Length: 25,5 cm (damaged) - two Malagasy baskets in woven basketry of rectangular forms. Dim. 18x14x14 and 14x18x13 cm. - two boxes in polychrome wickerwork with lids of Congo. Dim. 12 cm and 13 cm. - of a basket in basketry. Dim. 26x19x9 cm (absent lid) - of three bowls in wickerwork. Dim. 20, 26 and 28 cm. Provenance : Collected in-situ by Fernand OLIVEDA, Knight of the Legion of Honor and Chief Administrator of the colonies from 1888 to 1930 (Madagascar, Senegal, Congo). In 1925, he was Chief of the Secretariat of the General Governor of the Middle Congo.
