Portrait of Tsar Nicholas II (1868-1918) portrait of Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna (1872-1918) Two lithographs. 57 x 48 cm Imprimerie Arnaud, Lyon, late 19th century. These lithographed portraits on silk of Nicolas II and his wife Alexandra probably date from 1896, when the Russian imperial couple made a trip to France to renew the military alliance between the two countries. This trip had a great impact in France, and was the source of a large production of various souvenirs to commemorate the official visit.
