Born in 1975 in Luxembourg, the painter regularly exhibits at the Nosbaum Reding Gallery and has participated in various fairs such as Art Brussels or the Luxembourg Art Week. He has also entered the Luxembourg collection of the National Museum of History and Art.
Favoring abstraction at the beginning of his career, the artist produces, in the line of the all-over, a gestural, intuitive painting to then feel the need to resort to the figurative, notably with the theme of Asian megacities developing a criticism towards modern urban societies. Christian Frantzen is certainly an artist who counts and who asserts himself as an important figure of the current Luxembourg art.
