COLETTE (Sidonie Gabrielle). La Treille muscate. S.l.n.n. (text printed by Aimé Jourde, prints drawn by Vernant and Brunel), 1932. Large in-4, (4 blank)-86-(12 of which the last 3 blank) pp, green morocco, smooth spine, decoration covering the boards and the spine, formed by a lattice of gilt fillets with triple concentric gilt circular patterns and black vine tendrils, edge-to-edge lining and white calf endpapers decorated with a semis of gilt vine tendrils, gilt edges, covers and spine preserved, green morocco spine and flaps folder, lined slipcase; slightly darkened leather at the jaws, folder and slipcase rubbed (G. Cretté successor of Marius Michel). Edition of 165 numbered copies on hollande vellum (n° 129). Colette bought in 1926 the property of "La Treille Muscate", near Saint-Tropez, came there in vacation until 1938, and published a collection of the same name in 1932. ILLUSTRATION ENGRAVED ON COPPER BY ANDRE DUNOYER DE SEGONZAC, who worked on the engraving in Colette's house, that is to say: 36 compositions, 18 of which are full page included in the pagination. DOUBLE AUTOGRAPHIC SENDER SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR AND THE ARTIST: " For Ernest Simon, true friend of books, with all my sympathy and my deepest gratitude. A. Dunoyer de Segonzac. June 1942" "For Ernest Simon, a "Treille" that the hand of Segonzac has placed in eternity, in memory of Colette."
